History

The IEEE SMC Spanish Chapter was founded in October, 2009 by Prof. Emilio Corchado. Initially the Chapter comprised a total of 73 members.

Every year members of the chapter meets in the annual meeting to share advances and activities performed within the framework of IEEE-SMC Spanish Chapter.

Is a Chapter tradition to hold the meeting during international conferences in order to give the highest visibility to the IEEE-SMC Spain activities

IEEE-SMC Spain Activities

We work continuosly to develop new activies to promote the chapter and to approach the new achievements to society. Some of these activities are focused on R&D and promoting STEM vocations.
